A snoring app from Snorehelper

Ever wondered what your bedroom sounds like after you fall asleep? We're building an app that lets you record nighttime sounds on your phone and listen back in the morning. While we work on it, you can use our snoring diary to keep track of what you or a partner notices.

Illustrated example · Sample times

Eight hours from start to stop

  • 6 hours of audio placed on the timeline
  • 2 hours without confirmed coverage
The striped blocks mark midnight to 1 a.m. and 4 to 5 a.m. There's no reliably timed audio for those hours. The other six hours describe recording coverage. How long the person spent snoring is unknown.

From bedtime to morning

Try the microphone before bed

In the prototype, you can say a few words and play them back with the phone on your nightstand. You might hear the fan more clearly than your voice. Moving the phone and trying again takes a moment. If you share a room, make sure everyone who might be recorded agrees first.

See which parts of the night have audio

We're designing the morning view to show when a recording was captured and where the timeline has gaps. If a recording stops partway through the night, you'll have that context when you listen back.

Choose what to keep

The prototype lets you delete a night's audio while keeping a note you wrote, or remove the entire night. We're testing those choices on phones as we prepare for launch. You'll find store links here when the app becomes available.
